Outpost Upgrades/Improvements

What is required to build outpost upgrade platforms and install improvements?

Upgrade Platforms:

To build a upgrade platform please follow these steps:

1. Buy the BPO for the appropriate upgrade platform.
The BPO will allow you to construct a deployable structure similar to the original "egg" that the outpost was hatched from.

2. Build the Upgrade Platform.
All structures will be at least 500.000m3 in volume, thus requiring the use of a freighter to transport and deploy it.

3. Transport and deploy the Upgrade Platform to the owned outpost and anchor it.
The structure must be deployed and anchored in order to be linked to the current outpost.

4. Fill the Upgrade Platform with the required building materials.
You must fill the structure with the various NPC goods required to complete the construction. A list of materials is shown under the "material requirements" on the platform information box. When that is done, right click on the platform and click on "build".

5. Voila!
Assuming all of the above went well, the outpost will be upgraded after the next server downtime.

Improvements:

Outposts that have been upgraded are eligible for 'Improvements'. Improvements allow for expansion of the basic functionality of an outpost by adding new facilities or improving old ones. These fall into multiple categories and allow players many choices in how to customize their deep space homes.

The cost of each improvements is:

• Tier 1: 1 billion ISK.

• Tier 2: 4 billion ISK.

• Tier 3: 16 billion ISK.

You will be able to view the available improvements for your outpost under the "Improvements" tab in your outpost management window. Simply hover over the improvement tree and see what each improvement will do for your outpost. You can do this even if your upgrade platform has not been built.
